BioSys Course in Immunological Bioinformatics - A Hands On Practical Course for Industry

The course will be held on December 3, 2007 at the Center for Biological Sequence Analysis, BioCentrum, Technical University of Denmark, building 208, room 62, in Lyngby, Denmark.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The course will cover mainly epitope discovery of B-cell as well as CTL and helper epitopes. We will touch upon different prediction tools and database searches.

In the course will be used publically available web servers, and no advanced computer skills will be needed.

We assume a basic knowledge of the major functions of the immune system although important parts will be briefly explained.

A review regarding different prediction servers and methods will soon be published in Bioinformatics, but is available ahead of publication here.
