Use of portable computers in the courses

Portable computers will be available to the students when attending a course involving computer exercises - roughly one computer per two students. The use of the computer will be a part of the teaching situation.

Students are welcome to bring their own computers; the requirements are as follows:

Hardware

  • Wireless LAN card, 802.11b standard (preinstalled on any newer Mac)
External cards for PC:s can be borrowed from CBS. The PC has to have a PC-card/PCMCIA slot. For details please contact Kristoffer Rapacki, 4525 2483, rapacki@cbs.dtu.dk.

It is essential that the students who wish to use their own computer test the setup in good time and contact CBS if needed. Both the wireless connection and the necessary software (see below) need to be operational before the exercise.
