Use of portable computers in the courses
Portable computers will be available to the students when attending a course involving computer exercises - roughly one computer per two students. The
use of the computer will be a part of the teaching situation.
Students are welcome to bring their own computers; the requirements are
as follows:
Hardware
- Wireless LAN card, 802.11b standard (preinstalled on any newer Mac)
External cards for PC:s can be borrowed from CBS. The PC has to have
a PC-card/PCMCIA slot. For details please contact Kristoffer Rapacki,

It is essential that the students who wish to
use their own computer test the setup in good time and contact CBS if
needed. Both the wireless connection and the necessary software (see below)
need to be operational before the exercise.
- CDROM and floppy drives will not be needed.

- WWW browser with the following features and plug-ins:
- complete (at least 1.2) Java support;
- PDF viewer
