It is the purpose of the lecture for you to learn the following:


  1. An overview of sequenced genomes and Genome Databases.



  2. The "C-value paradox", and possible explanations for this conundrum.



  3. The different types of DNA symmetry elements, and their structures and biological meanings.



  4. The relationship of Genomic Expression Patterns and replication origins.
