2. To understand the nature and difference of generalised vs. specialised transducing phages.
3. To know the two stages of a bacteriophage
life cycle, and how a phage can "choose" between the two.
4. To be able to explain the two results that came from the fine-structure deletion mapping experiments of the rII gene in bacteriophage T4. (see pages 336-340)
